Distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group

In 2025, Sweden's distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group decreased by 0.3% compared to 2024, reaching 64.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 68.5%.

Sweden ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.2% (from 64.5% in 2020).
