Distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group

In 2024, Sweden's distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group decreased by 0.2% compared to 2023, reaching 64.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 68.4%.

Sweden ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.9% (from 63.6% in 2019).
