In 2014, Sweden's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 2.3% compared to 2013, reaching 83,517.

Sweden ranks 8th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 12.8% (from 95,824 in 2009).
