Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2019, Germany's main indicators increased by 3.6% compared to 2018, reaching 17.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.9%.

Germany ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 20.1% (from 14.4% in 2014).
