Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Austria's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 7.5% compared to 2023, reaching 14.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 11.2%.

Austria ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 45.2% (from 10.1% in 2019).
