Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Hungary's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 4.5% compared to 2023, reaching 7.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 11.2%.

Hungary ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.7% (from 8.1% in 2019).
