Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Italy's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 4.6% compared to 2023, reaching 10.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 11.2%.

Italy ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.0% (from 9.0% in 2019).
