Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Belgium's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 2.3% compared to 2023, reaching 14.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 25.2%.

Belgium ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 44.4% (from 9.9% in 2019).
