Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Netherlands's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 14.7% compared to 2023, reaching 20.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 25.2%.

Netherlands ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 127.1% (from 8.9% in 2019).
