Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, France's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 3.4% compared to 2023, reaching 23.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 25.2%.

France ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 35.3% (from 17.2% in 2019).
