Fertility indicators

In 1998, Bulgaria's fertility indicators increased by 1.8% compared to 1997, reaching 1.11.

Bulgaria ranks 24th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 24.0% (from 1.46 in 1993).
