Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2022, Bulgaria's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.6% compared to 2021, reaching 7.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.6%.

Bulgaria ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.3% (from 7.3% in 2017).
