Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2020, Bulgaria's unemployment by sex and age increased by 44.6% compared to 2019, reaching 17.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.6%.

Bulgaria ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 29.1% (from 24.7% in 2015).
