In 2021, Cyprus's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 7.5% compared to 2020, reaching 14.8%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.5%.
Cyprus ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 14.0% (from 17.2% in 2016).
