In 2022, Cyprus's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 7.4% compared to 2021, reaching 15.9%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.4%.
Cyprus ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.4% (from 16.8% in 2017).
