Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2021, Cyprus's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 23.2% compared to 2020, reaching 14.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 37.8%.

Cyprus ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 72.8% (from 8.6% in 2016).
