Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2021, Latvia's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 3.7% compared to 2020, reaching 51.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 37.8%.

Latvia ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.3% (from 51.3% in 2016).
