Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2021, Cyprus's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 13.0% compared to 2020, reaching 19.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.9%.

Cyprus ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 93.9% (from 9.8% in 2016).
