Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2021, Cyprus's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 1.7% compared to 2020, reaching 17.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.7%.

Cyprus ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 40.5% (from 29.1% in 2016).
