In 2017, Denmark's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 8.7% compared to 2016, reaching 54,922.

Denmark ranks 9th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 32.1% (from 80,930 in 2012).
