Employment rates by citizenship

In 2024, Finland's employment rates by citizenship decreased by 1.5% compared to 2023, reaching 72.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 75.3%.

Finland ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.8% (from 74.1% in 2019).
