Employment rates by citizenship

In 2025, Finland's employment rates by citizenship decreased by 0.5% compared to 2024, reaching 72.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 75.4%.

Finland ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.4% (from 73.4% in 2020).
