Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2023, Finland's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 9.2% compared to 2022, reaching 52.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 45.4%.

Finland ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 43.3% (from 36.5% in 2018).
