Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2023, Latvia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 1.5% compared to 2022, reaching 54.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 45.4%.

Latvia ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.5% (from 53.5% in 2018).
