Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, France's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 3.5% compared to 2023, reaching 31.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

France ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 40.0% (from 22.4% in 2019).
