Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 12.7% compared to 2023, reaching 20.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

Luxembourg ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 88.7% (from 10.9% in 2019).
