Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Spain's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 4.8% compared to 2023, reaching 59.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

Spain ranks 5th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 60.7% (from 37.1% in 2019).
