Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Hungary's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 23.1% compared to 2023, reaching 24.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

Hungary ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 141.3% (from 10.0% in 2019).
