Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Romania's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.5% compared to 2023, reaching 47.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

Romania ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 11.8% (from 42.6% in 2019).
