Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Romania's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 1.5% compared to 2023, reaching 25.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 25.2%.

Romania ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.5% (from 24.3% in 2019).
