Population structure indicators at national level

In 2010, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.2% compared to 2009, reaching 34.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 41.3.

Ireland ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.5% (from 33.5 in 2005).
