Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2019, Ireland's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 9.4% compared to 2018, reaching 36.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 34.1%.

Ireland ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 56.3% (from 23.3% in 2014).
