Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2023, Ireland's main indicators increased by 8.1% compared to 2022, reaching 40.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 45.4%.

Ireland ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 21.3% (from 33.3% in 2018).
