Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Ireland's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 2.2% compared to 2023, reaching 41.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

Ireland ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.4% (from 36.5% in 2019).
