Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2022, Ireland's main indicators increased by 25.4% compared to 2021, reaching 5.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.6%.

Ireland ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 21.7% (from 7.4% in 2017).
