Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2023, Ireland's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 30.4% compared to 2022, reaching 7.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 11.0%.

Ireland ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.7% (from 7.2% in 2018).
