In 2020, Ireland's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 33.7% compared to 2019, reaching 10,884.

Ireland ranks 14th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 57.7% (from 25,712 in 2015).
