Population structure indicators at national level

In 2009, Italy's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.6% compared to 2008, reaching 33.4.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 28.4.

Italy ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.4% (from 31.1 in 2004).
