Population structure indicators at national level

In 2009, Portugal's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.4% compared to 2008, reaching 29.4.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 28.4.

Portugal ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.1% (from 27.7 in 2004).
