Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, Latvia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.3% compared to 2009, reaching 42.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 21.3%.

Latvia ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.3% (from 43.0% in 2005).
