Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2016, Latvia's main indicators decreased by 32.7% compared to 2015, reaching 2.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.2%.

Latvia ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 40.1% (from 4.1% in 2011).
