Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2021, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 2.4% compared to 2020, reaching 14.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 37.8%.

Luxembourg ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 113.0% (from 6.7% in 2016).
