Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2023, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 11.5% compared to 2022, reaching 18.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 45.4%.

Luxembourg ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 99.6% (from 9.1% in 2018).
