Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2021, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.1% compared to 2020, reaching 11.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 21.9%.

Luxembourg ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 118.4% (from 5.4% in 2016).
