At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2023, Netherlands's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 11.8% compared to 2022, reaching 14.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.5%.

Netherlands ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.4% (from 13.1% in 2018).
