In 2018, Spain's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 0.6% compared to 2017, reaching 198,385.

Spain ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.3% (from 201,064 in 2013).
