Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2009, Spain's main indicators increased by 20.6% compared to 2008, reaching 13.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 13.9%.

Spain ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 55.3% (from 8.3% in 2004).
