In 2018, Spain's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 1.6% compared to 2017, reaching 140,479.

Spain ranks 3rd out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 24.4% (from 185,846 in 2013).
