At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2024, Sweden's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 21.6% compared to 2023, reaching 10.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.6%.

Sweden ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 28.3% (from 15.2% in 2019).
