At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2021, Sweden's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 5.2% compared to 2020, reaching 16.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.5%.

Sweden ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.8% (from 17.3% in 2016).
